कुछ बातें सितारों कीं

क्या मनहूस घड़ी में तुमसे मिलना हुआ?

अच्छा भला जल रहे थे हम यहाँ!

आते ही तुमने माहौल को ठंडा कर दिया,

हमारा भस्म होना और मुश्किल हो गया।।। 

 

थोड़ी देर से सही, बात आई हमें समझ,

जब बैठे चाँद के नीचे, दो भाई हम सहज।

कि तुम संग, भूले हम, चाहत जलने की,

समय भी ठहरा, देख,  बहती लहरों की आवारगी।।। 

 

आखिर है यह ठंडक भी, देन उसी ब्रह्मांड की,

यह ठहराव भी है जरूरी, मर मिटना तो है ही।

भूलो तुम भी खुदको, छोड़ो, यह डर है नकली,

आओ करें अब तांडव, इस नाच में ही है ज़िंदगी।।।  

PS - The theoretical physicist brother of mine had explained the binary star systems, wherein despite being pulled back by the forced around, they continue to stick around. Moving through the universe in their own orbits, together. This poem sees it as an ever-ongoing relationship betwen the masculine and the feminine. Here a masculine star is talking to his feminine counterpart.
